Museo de Arte Decorativo

This museum is also in Palermo, but it is completely different from MALBA. It is dedicated to decorative arts and great part of its collection includes furniture, tapestries and weapons from the 16^th century to the beginning of the 20^th. The museum itself is worth visiting because it used to be the palace of the aristocratic Errázuriz Alvear family.

Museo Nacional de Buenos Aires

In Recoleta, near the cemetery, there is a big pink building that resembles a Greek temple. This is the National Museum of Fine Arts. Its collection shows world-wide masterpieces of various artists like Monet, El Greco, Van Gogh as well as Argentinean artists like Cándido López and Ernesto Deira.

Museo Quinquela Martín

This museum in La Boca, near Caminito, was founded thanks to the generous donation of Benito Quinquela Martín. The museum is located in what used to be the house and atelier of this well-known Argentinean artist. It displays figurative art from the end of the 19^th century until our present days. On the terrace there are also sculptures.
