Children’s Park Buenos Aires, an outdoor space so you can enjoy the coast of the Río de la Plata.
It is one of the new parks in the city, which has a total of 32 hectares, plagued by a large number and variety of native birds.
Undoubtedly, it is an ideal space where you can do Bird Watching to observe in detail the calandria, the chingolo and the benteveo, among many others! Here we tell you more about this beautiful activity so you can continue enjoying it even more!
Located northeast of the city of Buenos Aires, it is really close to the coast of the Río de la Plata, so the wind is a factor here. You will see many people riding their kites and using this factor to their advantage. You can also rent one in the park if you want to have some fun.
It has several spaces with recreational games like slides, places for the little ones and sandboxes. In turn, it has picnic tables, a bike path circuit and a coastal path to observe the most beautiful sunsets and spot the boats that pass through the River. It does not have grills and it is completely forbidden to make a fire in the place.
Likewise, it has a huge pedestrian bridge that connects this space with the Walk of Vicente López, which you can learn more about here! Its doors close at 5:00 p.m., so it will be preferable that you visit it early or you will not be able to return this same way.
The Children’s Park has a large and absolutely free parking lot, as well as kiosks, drinking fountains, a nursing service for any emergency, and bathrooms.
During the summer, from January to March, it becomes the well-known program of the City Government of “Buenos Aires Beach”. This is about artificial beaches that are installed inside the park with lounge chairs, sand, showers and umbrellas. In turn, different sports activities are organized for you to enjoy in the Sun.
For your consideration, pets are not allowed to enter the park, nor can you swim in the river, since it is prohibited.
The park opens its doors from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. On Mondays it is closed.
To access this place, you will have to use public transport and then walk a few blocks to get there, since it does not have a completely direct transport. Another means is to use the Mitre Train.
